By popular demand from many clients Mercian are returning to The Rex Turtle Beach.  Located on a mile long golden sandy beach in Great Courtland Bay and approximately five miles from Scarborough, the capital of Tobago.

There are 125 beach front rooms, all with air conditioning, shower, (some rooms do not have a bath) hairdryer, safe, telephone and coffee making facilities.  The upper floor rooms have a balcony and ground floor rooms have a patio.  All are sea view.  (The bridge room is on the first floor and there are no lifts in the hotel).


The Kiskadee restaurant offers a range of creole specialities and international dishes served buffet style.  (Room service is available at an extra charge).  Cool off at The Surf Bar - the poolside bar with a swim-up counter.  Enjoy a relaxing drink before bridge in the Crusoe Bar overlooking the gardens.





The hotel has a variety of watersports available (motorised items are charged locally).  Beach towels are provided free of charge.  There is a golf course close to the hotel. (Please remember to take your handicap certificate with you if you wish to play).



Tobago is an escapists paradise with natural charm, unspoilt beaches, tropical interior and lush mountains.  The warm waters of the Caribbean Sea are perfect for scuba diving and snorkelling, especially on the famous Bucco Reef. 

For those interesed in bird watching it is a real paradise, with more diverse species to be found in one location than anywhere else.  The Main Forest Ridge is the oldest reserve in the Western hemisphere, protected since 1765.  Here you will find flora and fauna in all their splendour and a seemingly endless number of biking trails to explore.
