Ted
Hill
When Ted took early retirement from the electricity
supply industry he decided to focus all his energies
on Bridge. The first venture was to form a new Bridge
Club in his village of Churchdown which is now thriving
and self-sufficient.
At the start of this venture Ted gave a set of lessons
to the less experienced players and as a result
decided to develop his teaching skills until he
is now a qualified member of the EBU Teachers Association
and a recognised teacher in his County of Gloucestershire.
Having been a County Tournament Director Ted progressed
to become a member of the EBU panel of Directors,
being appointed to the panel on 1 April 1996 and
has directed at all levels of bridge from the fledgling
club through various commercial and county events
up to the most senior EBU run event. Click
