The Company is a member of the Association of British Travel Agents (Membership Number V2471) and is so bonded in its own right as a Tour Operator by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) under licence ATOL 1869. This is very important as under the Package Travel, Package Holiday and Package Tour Regulations of 1992 require those who organise group arrangements to be bonded and to have Professional Indemnity Insurance; something which one should always check before booking ones holiday, whether bridge or otherwise. I would like to make it clear that all aspects of the Mercian Travel holidays do comply with the new law. The money that you have paid for the holiday is protected at all times and facilities are in place for repatriation should the organiser become insolvent. We are therefore not dependent on others.
