Getting to and from Pudong
International Airport
Shanghai's new Pudong
International Airport is well connected to the
city centre. You can take a taxi from
the airport to the centre for about 100 yuan (£8).
For a fraction of that price, you can take the airport
bus to the China Eastern Central Shanghai
Office on Yan'an West Road in under one and a half
hours. From here, the famous sites and bustling shopping
centres of Shanghai are just steps away. Of course,
you could also take the new and hi-tech Mag-Lev train
(£3 one way, speed - 431km/hr, 7 mins) into
Pudong and then take the underground into the city.
Unmissable Shanghai
Shanghai is a large and rapidly developing city,
but also has a long and majestic history. You
shouldn't miss visiting the exhilarating skyscrapers
and modern parks of Pudong, taking a walk along
the historical Bund or shopping for bargains
on Nanjing road or in the many markets such as
Huaihai road market. Yuyuan gardens is also considered
as a cultural heart of Shanghai, with wonderful
architecture and all the snack food and bazar
atmosphere you could want. Whether you're in
Shanghai for business or pleasure, make sure
you visit a few of the charming places the "Pearl
of the East" has to offer.

Visa Requirements
We have been notified that all foreigners are allowed
24 hour visa-free transit stops
in Shanghai (longer transits allowed for some
nationalities). For longer stays it will be necessary
to apply for a Chinese Visa. Applying for a Chinese
Visa at the Chinese Embassy in London is normally
a troublefree procedure, and there is a same-day
service if necessary. We advise either going
to the embassy in person, or using a visa agent
to obtain your visa. If you have further concerns
regarding the visa, we would like to suggest
you to contact Chinese Embassy directly.
